FUTURE LEGENDS - CHANNEL 12
Future Legends showcases the talents of emerging artists. Whether we hear them on internet newsletters, mix-tapes from indie friends, or playing the local coffee shop, these albums are from our favorite new musicians.
Featured Album: Shake the Hand that Shook the World by Pepper's Ghost. Fans of melodic, album oriented pop/rock might find a new favorite here. Produced by legendary engineer Andy Johns (Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones), its sound is unapologetically "big". Lead vocalists Anthony and Michael Montesano show off their fondness for early Bee-Gees style harmony while Rob Bennett trades guitar licks with the boys a'la Brian May and George Harrison. In one stand-out track "Losing A Friend," Anthony sings "Please, don't ever become, a stranger with me" and by the tone of his voice, you know he means it. This album is a sincere moment in time to a bunch of young lads who believed melody to be bigger than any art or prose.
